Be smart is the key of the success

  • Follow the sequence as the speaker speaks.
  • In the seconds before starting the audio (10 sec.), Do a general scan of the available options, do not try to read all the sentences.
  • Usually, the wrong word is evident and different
  • 75% of the time, it corresponds to an adjective.
  • Less than 5% of the time, the wrong words are articles or pronouns, if not ever.
  • Proper names will never come up as misspelled words, so don’t worry about no-names.
  • Do not get carried away by deconcentration, when you think that a word should be pronounced in some way and the reader did not trick, words will never be evaluated by pronunciation; the words are always totally different!
  • If you got lost at any point in the reading, for some reason, try looking for the following phrase or section that will allow you to get hooked on the reading again.
  • Personal strategy, I continue reading with the mouse on the screen, and I only click on the word that I think it is.
  • There will never be more than five words; if this happens, discard the ones with the minor similarity, I mean articles, names and pronouns. Instead, focus on adjectives and adverbs.
  • Set anchor words; before starting the solution of the question, you will have a few seconds to prepare; at this time, identify those words that will help you resume reading.
